KAM+ -5V Fix

--------------------------

If your KAM+ is giving you garbage characters at all serial speeds then the -5 volt supply has probably failed.  This is a common problem.

Check the voltage at Test Point B indicated below.  It should be very close to -5 volts with less than 25 mV of ripple.

If the voltage is off then first replace the 3 capacitors, C48, C49, and C51, indicated by CAP below.  All 3 are 10 microfarad 50 volt electrolytic capacitors.  Be sure that they are install with the correct polarity (- toward the center of the board).

If the -5 volt is still off check Test Point C indicated below. If it is around -7 volts then change VR2 (LM79L05) but if it shows a low voltage (especially below -5 volts) then change U15 (LT1054CP).

Test Point Voltages
A    +5V
B    -5V
C    ~-7V
D    +5V
